近日，Nature對Robert A Weinberg團隊在1999年7月29日發表的題為“Creation of human tumour cells with defined genetic elements”的研究論文，發表了編輯表達關注，指出文章涉嫌圖片重復及拼接的行為，但是作者無法獲得原始數據。
編輯們想提醒讀者，有人對圖 1b 中兩條帶的可能重復提出了質疑。由于該文章的發表時間較久，原始數據已無法獲取。此外，在圖 1b 中的凝膠拼接情況也有所提及；不過，在當時這種拼接是被認可的。盡管文章的主要結論仍能得到文章中其余數據的支持，但讀者在解讀上述列出的數據時仍需謹慎。
