觀察尿液顏色是簡便且經濟有效的方式。正常的尿液顏色為透明黃色或淺黃色。當尿液顏色加深，呈現黃色時，機體可能攝入水分較少，存在脫水狀態;呈現較深黃色和深黃色時，提示機體水分不足或缺少水分，處于脫水狀態。
