The visits of Trump and Putin to China have just ended. Will thawing signals lead to action? Will tariff barriers be dismantled? Where are tech rivalry and supply chains headed? The world is watching: Will the major powers overcome the Thucydides Trap and coexist, or slide into a new Cold War? Against this backdrop, On May 25th, Renmin University hosts for the fourth time former U.S. Ambassador to Russia and Stanford Professor Michael McFaul, and Professor Wang Wen, Dean of Chongyang Institute for Financial Studies, and Dean of School of Global Leadership, Renmin University of China. The two senior scholars will focus on the post-visit China-US-Russia landscape, discussing trade security and geopolitical fragmentation, dilemmas in global economic governance, theChina-US-Russia triangle, and people-to-people exchanges.
