4月28日，有網民發視頻反映廣西欽州子材大橋橋面有人撒錢，有路人在車流中撿錢。29日，欽州市110報警服務臺工作人員稱，新橋通車時撒錢系當地習俗，有交警定時巡邏進行勸阻，如市民發現此類情況可報警，民警將到場進行干預。
