據日本共同社報道,日本首位女性財務大臣——片山皋月周四表示,針對日元貶值走勢,到了有必要采取果斷行動的時候了。
受中東局勢影響,日元兌美元匯率跌破160.5關口,創下2024年7月以來新低(as the currency weakened beyond the mid-160 level against the U.S. dollar to its lowest since July 2024, amid the Middle East crisis)。
當日日元一度跌至1美元兌160.72日元,片山皋月對記者稱:“我此前多次提及的果斷行動,時機終于日益臨近。”

在片山最新口頭表態警告后,日元兌美元匯率走強,升至159低位區間(The yen strengthened to the lower 159 zone against the dollar following Katayama's latest verbal warning)。
