埃及熱門度假地發生慘劇：眼鏡蛇“順褲腿鉆入”導致德國男子殞命

一名57歲德國男子在埃及一處豪華海灘度假村觀看耍蛇表演時，被一條劇毒眼鏡蛇咬傷，不幸身亡。

報道稱，一名游客在埃及家庭度假期間觀看表演時，被一條爬進褲內的毒蛇咬傷后死亡（A tourist has died after a snake crawled up his pants and bit him as he watched a show on a family holiday in Egypt）。

這起事件發生在4月初，這名57歲的德國人在紅海沿岸豪華海灘度假勝地洪加達（Hurghada） 的一家酒店內觀看耍蛇表演。

據報道，現場兩條據稱是眼鏡蛇的毒蛇，被纏繞在前來觀看表演的觀眾上身（Two snakes, reported to be cobras, were draped around the upper-bodies of the audience who had come to see the show）。

據悉，受害者當時任由一條蛇爬進自己的褲腿，隨即遭到咬傷。

巴伐利亞警方表示：“耍蛇表演期間，其中一條蛇爬進一名57歲男子的褲內，導致這名德國游客腿部被咬傷。”

德國警方在一份聲明中稱，受害者出現“明顯中毒癥狀”，送醫前曾接受心肺復蘇，但最終仍不治身亡（The victim showed "clear signs of poisoning" and had to be resuscitated before being taken to hospital, but he later died）。

聲明未透露這名男子的姓名，他來自巴伐利亞州下阿爾高地區，當時與兩名家人一同度假。

德國警方與檢方正對其死因展開調查，目前正等待毒理學檢測結果（German police and prosecutors are investigating his death and are awaiting the results of a toxicology test）。

警方聲明補充道：“梅明根刑事警察局在梅明根檢察院的指導下，對死亡事件的具體經過展開調查。毒理學檢驗結果尚未出爐。”

據悉，當地耍蛇表演的表演者通常會讓這些爬行動物在游客身上爬行，或將蛇繞在游客脖子上，這似乎是常見環節（It appears as though it is normal for performers at the snake charming shows to allow the reptiles to crawl over guests and that they are place around their necks）。

眼鏡蛇以劇毒聞名，多數眼鏡蛇攜帶神經毒素，會攻擊中樞神經系統，可迅速導致癱瘓與呼吸衰竭。

若未及時使用抗毒血清或機械通氣等救治措施，被眼鏡王蛇等大型品種咬傷后，最快30分鐘內即可致命（a bite from a large species like the King Cobra can be fatal in as little as 30 minutes）。

耍蛇表演因危險性一直備受爭議，同時也遭到動物保護組織批評。

這些組織長期呼吁取締此類表演，認為其既殘忍，在全球部分地區還常被當作宰客的旅游陷阱（which have long lobbied against them for being cruel and often used as a tourist trap in parts of the world）。
