日本近海發生7.5級強烈地震，高市早苗呼吁前往高處避險

據 ITV 報道， 日本近海發生強烈地震后，當局已發布海嘯警報（Tsunami alerts have been issued after a powerful earthquake struck off the coast of Japan）。

日本氣象廳表示，此次地震發生在日本北部三陸近海，當地時間16時53分左右（世界時07:53）發生，初步測定震級為7.5級，震源深度約10公里（6英里）。

美國海嘯預警系統則報告此次地震為7.4級（The US Tsunami Warning System has reported the quake as 7.4 magnitude）。

日本氣象廳稱，巖手縣久慈港監測到約80厘米（2.6英尺）高的海嘯，該縣另一港口記錄到40厘米（1.3英尺）的較小海嘯。

氣象廳已發布預警，稱可能出現最高3米（10英尺）的巨浪（There have been warnings of waves of up to three metres (10 feet) issued）。

日本首相高市早苗呼吁民眾立即前往高處避險（Japan's Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi has urged people to seek safety on higher ground）。

她向記者表示，有關部門正“全力評估災情，開展搜救等應急救災措施，并向公眾及時準確發布信息”。

高市早苗補充說：“目前仍在核實人員傷亡與財產損失情況，我們將在收到詳細報告后立即推進救災工作（but we will receive detailed reports shortly and proceed with disaster response efforts）。”

2011年3月11日，日本北部曾遭受9.0級大地震及海嘯襲擊，造成超過2.2萬人死亡，近50萬人被迫撤離家園，其中多數因海嘯受災。

福島第一核電站在那次海嘯中嚴重受損，數萬人因輻射擔憂被迫撤離（The Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant was damaged by the tsunami, forcing tens of thousands to evacuate their homes due to radiation concerns）。
